Smart Squares HMH (smartsquareshmh.health) is an independent, unofficial guide website for Hackensack Meridian Health team members who use Smart Square. This page explains, in plain language, what information this site does and does not collect.

The short version

• We collect no login credentials — ever. This site has no login form and will never ask for your Smart Square password.
• We have no user accounts and no sign-up.
• We run no advertising and no cross-site tracking.
• The only personal information we ever receive is what you choose to send us by email.

Information handled automatically

Like almost every website, our hosting provider and our content delivery provider (Cloudflare) keep standard server logs when you visit — things like your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These logs exist to keep the site secure and working, and to understand roughly how many people visit. We do not use them to identify individual visitors or build profiles.

Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell real visitors apart from bots. This site itself sets no advertising, marketing or analytics cookies.

Email you send us

If you email us (for example, to report an error on a page), we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to fix the issue you raised. We do not sell, rent or share email addresses, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

Never include your Smart Square password or any other password in an email to us. We will never ask for it.

Links to other websites

Our guides link out to the official Smart Square portal (meridian.smart-square.com), the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. Once you leave this site, those websites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control. Your Smart Square login happens entirely on the official portal — this site never sees it.

Children

This site is written for hospital staff. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
